Summarized report of the first trip to Khafr village 2007/01/10- 2007/01/12

1- Consideration of Khafr village route in winter and its attractions: In order to travel to Khafr, it is essential to know about the weather condition, because the probable snowfall may block the road. On the way to the village, watching the seabirds, swimming across the thawed part of lake in the Hana Dam location, is one of the attractions.The condition of the village in the cold season is completely different from the warm season. Therefore, it is essential to notice theses differences in designing a tour package.
2- Consideration of general condition of the village winter, including inside village route, its attractions and its existing facilities:
The winter time scenery in Khafr is spectacular. Almost all alleys and house yards are covered with snow and the level of snow may rise above 1.5 meters. When visiting Khafr in winter, one has to use gaiter and crampon and suitable shoes. The snowy scenery and walking on snow-covered routs are among other attractions.
3- Visiting the houses which were appointed and introduces as tourists lodges: In checking the lodges, the general condition of a lodge, its outward and inward appearance, and the number of its rooms should be considered. And also the households of four motional lodges were investigated.
4- Consideration of foods, local products, and village’s handicraft: Some rural women were asked about foods, local products also local handicrafts which proved that no places as café or restaurant can be found there. Therefore, for providing and serving foods, previous coordination with rural is needed.
5- Holding meeting with old and new members of Khafr rural council and also members of Sabz Yaran Dena NGO: The aim of this meeting was the acquaintance of members of Khafr rural council with ongoing projects in khafr and members Of Sabz Yaran Dena and their goals. In this gathering the population graph over the past years, the immigration issue and the introduction of different local attraction were deal with.
6- Getting together with rural women in Hosseinieh: In this meeting some explanation about Sabz Yaran Dena NGO’s activities were presented. Ms.Ghadimi as one of the members of “Plan for the Land” NGO, presented+ her group and asked the rural women to cooperate with her in collecting information about products of village.
