Attractions of Dey (December - January)
1- Parishan international wetland: By Dec. and Jan. most of the migrant birds have
arrived in the lakes of Iran. Parishan international wetland in Fars province is
one of the best bird watching sites in Iran.



2- Bottle Nose Dolphin: Bottle nose Dolphin is one of the 11 identified dolphins
in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea. These mammals are known for the entertaining movements
they make in the water. While the weather is getting cooler, by traveling to the
south of Iran, swimming of group of Bottle nose Dolphin could entertain you for
hours.


3- Mangrove forests: Harra P.A and international wet land located in Hormozgan province
with dominant species of Avicenia marina, which is the only plant in the tidal area
creates a special ecosystem for birds, marine mammals and even rodents and invertebrates.
By traveling to the south of Iran you can observe a lot of wilds and beautiful landscapes.


4- Shadegan: Shadegan W.R and international wetland located in Khuzestan province
is one of the most attractive areas in this season. This lake has the peculiarity
of both fresh water and brackish water, which creates a variety of ecosystems for
different types of fauna and flora.



5- Wolf: While the weather is getting cold and snowy, either in persona or the tracks
can be seen. You might have the chance to encounter an individual wolf or packs.
This packs attack the domestics in this season.

6- Porpoise: This marine mammal, which is the smallest identified in Persian Gulf
and Oman Sea, is distributed in all of the inshore waters of this region. In this
season they came nearby the shores and you can observe them more easily.

7- Khaiiz: In an arid region like Boushehr province, there is a mountainous area
with temperate climate. Beautiful valleys with limpid springs would be a worthwhile
attraction for tourists.


8- Mud volcanoes: In the middle of Konarak-Chabahar road, in a place named Kahir
a hill with 20 m diameter is located. On the top of this hill there is a pound in
which mud flows. You observe forms of small and big muddy bubbles. According to
the local observations this mud volcanoes are more active due to the increase of
rain at this time of the year.



9- Guatr Bay: in the north-west corner of Iran, there is a fishing-port named Guatr
Bay. This area is the closest spot of Iran to the Indian Ocean. You can observe
many oceanic fish species and even whale.


10- Jiroft: the ancient city of Jiroft located in Kerman province is surrounded
by high mountains. This neighbor of Halil-Rood, which is named “The India of Iran”,
has a lot of gardens and you can hear the sound of Grey Francolin at the dawn. This
area has warm humid planet with tropical fruits.
